aNERDgallery will be participating in the sixth installment of Pameran Poskad happening at ION Art Gallery next month.

In collaboration with artists from Komporseni, aNERDgallery is one of the Indonesian representatives in the latest edition of Singapore’s collective exhibition, Pameran Poskad. Together, we will produce and curate 10 artworks, to be displayed among the 5000 artworks by 500 artists (or wannabe artists) from 26 countries. We will exhibit artworks that represent Indonesia or textiles – two subjects that are very dear to us.

What is Pameran Poskad?

Pameran Poskad is a group exhibition of postcard-sized artworks by anyone and for everyone. From internationally recognized artists to amateur creators, all creations, regardless of age, nationalities or artistic mediums and viewpoints, will be placed side by side under a single roof. Hence, the fun begins when you flip over the works to find out who are the artists behind the works that speak to you.

Why Pameran Poskad?

Fun aside, we believe in the notion that art is borderless, similar to the notions that is being promoted by the organiser. It provides an avenue for everyone to be involved in art, especially for emerging artists to have a platform to showcase their work.

Stripped of all the glamour of the usual art fairs, this exhibition offers an intimate and unpretentious curation. Be it a creator, a curator or a collector, anyone can come to enjoy and to appreciate art in anyway they can.

The Chosen Charity

More importantly, this year, part of the proceeds from the artwork sales will be awarded to Beautiful People, Pameran Poskad’s designated charity for the exhibition. Beautiful People works with various women and youth organisations to bring forth mentoring program that is based on building meaningful relationships and imparting life skills to empower mentees to achieve their dreams
