Forest Ombre Silk Shawl

The ombre silk shawl features images of forest in magenta/blue ombre colour are hand-batik (reverse painting technique using wax as dye-resisting agent) on high grade Valentino silk, reminding us of the cool, winter nature scene. The cloth is then dipped into top-grade silk dyes on each end allowing the color to aspirate and blends perfectly in the middle. The process is then repeated three times, to give different shades of the trees which results in a depth effect on the scarf, before the final step to remove the wax using hot iron. All steps are done with high precision to prevent unwanted defects such as uneven colouring or patchy spots.
